To coincide with the special exhibition "From ass warmer to porcupine - 100 years of DKW motorcycle construction", the Museum for Saxon Vehicles Chemnitz "Hochgarage" invites all vehicles with DKW genes - regardless of their age or number of wheels - to an interesting and entertaining day at the On April 24, 2022, all vehicles with DKW genes - regardless of their age and number of wheels - are invited to an interesting and entertaining day at the vehicle museum.
Friends of DKW, IFA and MZ will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas on this day from 10:00 to 15:00. The pre-war and post-war history will deliberately not be separated.
The very first DKW racing machine will also be on display in the special exhibition. The exhibition ranges from the first models to the motorcycles that were built as part of Auto Union AG. The famous "blood bladder" is included, as well as the special luxury version for the Iraqi king and wartime production.
Wildeck Castle, the Museum für sächsische Fahrzeuge Chemnitz e.V. and the Motorcycle Museum at Augustusburg Castle are participating in the anniversary year with special exhibitions focusing on different themes under the overarching title "100 years of motorcycle tradition in Zschopau". The German Enduro Museum Zschopau is also involved as a cooperation partner.
