The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is one of the most famous beauty contests of all. The Concorso was first held in Cernobbio in the heyday of the automobile in 1929, and since its revival in the 1990s, the event has repeatedly adapted to growing demands and requirements. The anticipation for 2023 is already great.
The BMW Group Classic has already thrown itself fully into preparations in recent weeks. Autumn may offer a variety of colors and emotions, but the focus is already firmly on spring. From May 19 to 21, 2023, the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Cernobbio will once again welcome visitors and owners of classic vehicles, this time hopefully without any postponements or cancelations.
Two special topics celebrate significant anniversaries
As in previous years, it is a well-established tradition that the vehicles taking part in this beauty contest will compete against each other in clearly defined classes. two themes have already been defined for the 2023 Concorso and both are celebrating significant anniversaries.
Under the title "A century of the 24 Hours of Le Mans: Heroes of the world's most famous race", unique racing cars from many decades bear witness to their achievements in this world-famous endurance race.
In addition, the Concorso will dedicate another exciting class to the Porsche brand next May: "Porsche on its 75th birthday: a journey through the past iconic and eccentric models of the legendary Stuttgart brand".
The car manufacturer will officially celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2023. The very first Porsche was officially registered in June 1948.
With the opening of registration, owners are now invited to register their historic vehicles to take part in the competition. The selection committee, which as always is made up of renowned connoisseurs and experts, is expecting strong interest and is once again looking forward to seeing special and exciting rarities.
Further information is available on the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este website, where vehicle owners can of course also register.
