When the Classic Days start again from August 1 to 3, 2025, classic car fans, young enthusiasts, families and an entire region can once again look forward to a very special weekend.
Back in the Rhine district of Neuss - in the 50th anniversary year of the town of Korschenbroich - with great support from the administration in Korschenbroich, lots of support and detailed interest from Mayor Marc Venten - the "Grand Meeting" starts on the first weekend in August.
Lots of atmosphere
The start "back in the countryside" - after a two-year stopover in Düsseldorf - could not be more atmospheric and fitting. At the more than 775-year-old Birkhof manor - with its manor house dating back to 1846 and a large, enchanted English landscape park - the perfect journey through time around the automobile, motorcycles, prototypes and concept cars of tomorrow and the good old days with matching dress and picnic can inspire young and old.
With its return to the region - to the countryside and just under two kilometers from its place of origin - the voluntary Classic Days association has found new members to strengthen the team and come up with lots of typical Classic Days content. Hearts beat faster to the beat of the engine.
With celebrities and car legends
Of course there will be racing drivers: Hans-Joachim Stuck, Formula 1 legend, 2-time Le Mans and DTM winner will be there. "Striezel" will be signing autographs and getting behind the wheel.
Original racing cars, big powerful cars from the early days of motorsport. A Delahaye Racer with an aircraft engine - a 1913 Darracq TT with a 1928 Menasco Aero Engine from 1928 with 8 liters of displacement from 4 cylinders or the Wisconsin Special - a record car from Daytona Beach from 1922 with a huge and super-fast 6-cylinder engine ... three absolute world top vehicles. Here in the region.
The future is calling - 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of "Back to the Future" - the Steven Spielberg trilogy is considered one of the most successful in film history. Marty McFly travels through time with Doc Emmett Brown in the DeLorean at 88 miles per hour. The original movie car is presented as an iconic exhibit in the DocBrown inventor's garage.
And lots of show besides the asphalt
Of course, picnicking is also on the agenda again, everywhere!Along the route by the picket fences under the large old chestnut tree avenue, in the park of the manor house, which only opens its venerable gates to visitors for the Classic Days, and in many green corners on the manor's property, which is nestled in the natural surroundings.
Traditions such as picnics and visits in period dress are cultivated. "Courage to wear a hat" is one of them.
Concours d Chapeau... in 2025, a hat jury will once again award prizes for the best hats at a central location, whether fascinator, own creation or Ascot style... the ladies "carry out the hats".
As traditional as the Classic Days like to be, they are also geared towards the future in the main theme of "automobiles". No future without a past - and what does the mobility of tomorrow look like... what does the recent past look like?
What excites very young fans?
As an absolute treat, the Classic Days will be presenting the original movie cars from the hit series "Fast & Furios".
Six movie cars from the world-famous ChromeCars private collection will be brought to the Rittergut. Nissan GTRs, Subarus and, of course, the original movie car driven by legend Pauk Walker. Of course, the cars are not static. It wouldn't be Classic Days if there wasn't a 2.6-kilometer circuit for demo drives. Here you can see all the cars in action. Vehicles and not stationary vehicles.
Also on display on the circuit - and therefore one of the first world premieres of the Classic Days: the VW W30 - the prototype and test car of the VW Beetle from 12936. Ferdinand Porsche only developed 30 test vehicles - these cars drove 1.5 million test kilometers in half a year and were all scrapped afterwards before production of the well-known KDF cars began in 1938.
One family of collectors, however, was able to find parts of a single surviving W30 through archaeological research, restore it and reassemble it completely. The car is considered a sensational find. It has never been seen driving in public. That will change from August 1 - 3, 2025.
Diversity is the order of the day
The Classic Days are exactly that: the mix, the bag of colorful, top-class, loving stories, memories, movie cars and automotive diversity.
Germany's craziest, most diverse and biggest classic car garden party can come.
"It's wonderful to see so many shining eyes with so many highlights in the most beautiful setting imaginable - the club is extremely hard-working in its preparations but also - despite all the efforts in decorating and setting up - extremely proud to bring so much world class to the Ritter. extremely proud to bring so much world class to the Rittergut Birkhof," says club chairman Thomas Görden, while he attaches decorative signs in the old enamel look to make the journey through time even more authentic.
