Catawiki is auctioning ten classic cars and a tractor from southern Europe until March 31, 2023. After Spain took center stage at the last auction, this time it's Italy's turn. However, not only in terms of the location of the cars, but above all in terms of the country of origin of the classic cars on offer. Fiat has the largest repertoire with four vehicles, ahead of Alfa Romeo and Lancia with two cars each. There is also a Ferrari, a Lamborghini and an Autobianchi up for auction.
As expected, the Ferrari - a 208 GTB from 1981 - is the most expensive lot in the auction. The reduced-displacement Italian version with the two-liter V8 is expected to fetch between 69,000 and 77,000 euros. It is closely followed by an Alfa Romeo Montreal in unusual "Blu Francia", which is expected to fetch between 65,000 and 75,000 euros.
The Lamborghini, on the other hand, is one of the lower-priced items in the auction. The reason: it is not a sports car from the sixties, but a tractor. The tractor, in its original blue and orange livery, was estimated at between 10,200 and 11,400 euros.
According to the estimated price, the cheapest car in the auction is an Autobianchi Bianchina Panoramica from 1969. Between 7000 and 7700 euros are expected for the cute rear-engined station wagon. A Fiat 500 R from 1973, which the Catawiki expert has estimated at 7000 to 8000 euros, is expected to fetch little more.
The oldest car on offer also has a four-digit estimate. Between 8300 and 9200 euros are expected for the 1950 Fiat 500 C. The youngest lot is expected to fetch more than double that. A Lancia Delta HF Turbo from 1991 was estimated at 17,600 to 19,500.
Fans of the exotic can also acquire a little-known alternative to the Mini Moke and Renault 4 Plain Air in the form of the Savio Jungla 600 from 1972. Between 13,500 and 15,000 euros are expected for the Fiat 600-based beach runabout.
