There are 23 sought-after classic cars that Catawiki can offer in a premium classic car auction until January 9, 2022 (20:00). The cars come from six countries and 14 car manufacturers ranging from Alfa Romeo to Volkswagen.
With the exception of two cars, the cars were built after the war; on average, the 23 cars are 56 years old.
Porsche sports cars are the most popular, with five of these cars going under the hammer. Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen are represented with two cars each. All of the cars are classics in the mid-price range.
Rare Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet
The convertible version of the Porsche 930 Turbo is rare. Catawiki can bring a black example built in 1988 with German registration under the hammer.
According to the description, the condition is very good and the mileage is 79,331 km. The engine and gearbox have been overhauled and there is some documentation on the car, which was estimated at EUR 150,000 to 170,000.
Elegant Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint
The Giulietta Sprint from Alfa Romeo has already played important roles in films.
The car offered by Catawiki, built in 1959, has an Italian registration, has been restored on the body and technically and comes with Italian registration.
Interested parties are now expected to bid around EUR 55,000 to 60,500, which does not sound excessive.
Former Mercedes-Benz 450 SL
The Mercedes-Benz 450 SL from 1972 has been fully restored and has covered 650 km since its restoration.
According to the Catawiki experts, it now costs EUR 51,200 to 56,500, which is probably not enough to pay for the restoration.
Chevrolet Corvette C2 built for only one year
The Corvette as a coupé with a split rear window was only built for one year. Catawiki can offer a gold-colored example with four-speed transmission and L76 340 hp engine, chassis 30837S105807.
The restored car is estimated at EUR 97,000 to 107,000, for which it would probably not be available in the USA.
23 windows in the VW Bus
The VW Bus T1 Samba normally costs considerably more than the EUR 38,500 to 42,500 that Catawiki has estimated for the red and white Volkswagen with 23 windows.
This is due to the fact that the car was built in Brazil in 1972. However, the "Samba" was completely restored and repainted in 2021, so it shows only minimal signs of wear according to Catawiki.
Off-road vehicle from Japan
If you like to drive off-road and want a robust car from Japan, the Toyota HJ45 from 1978 could be the solution.
The car has been restored and is a rare long-wheelbase pickup variant with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder diesel engine. The asking price is now EUR 82,500 to 91,000 if you want to take the four-wheeler off-road.
The other models on offer are also interesting and sought-after classics. So it may be worth taking a look at the Catawiki website.
