Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Oldtimer (VWNO) took part in the "2nd Twinkle Light Cruise", an illuminated Christmas tour in Hanover, with four vehicles. The Bullis were each decorated with over 2500 LED lights and thus formed part of the convoy of over 40 VW buses and Beetles through the city center.
Over a thousand spectators applauded the Bulli parade on the roadside. The VW fans started at Trammplatz, drove past the Landesmuseum towards Maschsee and circled the Opernplatz several times.
At the end, all Twinkle Bullis met at Schützenplatz. Among them were the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles organization's Bullis: a blue and white T1 Samba (built in 1963), a T1 crew cab (built in 1966), a T1 lemonade sales van (built in 1964) and a current T6.1 Multivan (special Cruise model, built in 2019).
The participants in the campaign came from all over Germany, with Bulli fans from the Netherlands and Switzerland making the journey of over 500 kilometers. Initiator Alexander P. Frank commented: "The campaign should simply be fun for people. I already have the first confirmations for next year's Twinkle Light Cruise!"
