On October 9, 2026, Broad Arrow will auction off 82 cars, one motorcycle, one children’s car, and just under a dozen memorabilia items at a live auction in Zoute. The vehicles are collectively valued at approximately EUR 38 million, averaging about EUR 462,000 per car. 48% of the vehicles, which have an average age of 42 years, will be offered without a reserve price.
Four brands dominate
With 21 Ferraris (including a Dino), 12 Porsches, seven Aston Martins, and six Mercedes-Benzes, more than half of the auction is already attributed to a single manufacturer; the remainder is spread across 22 other brands, including exotic makes such as APAL, MCA, and Shelby.
While the Porsches are only 31 years old on average, the average age for Mercedes is 57 years. The percentage of no-reserve lots is also highest here at 83%, while only one-third of Ferrari consignors take this risk.
Ferdinand Piëch’s BMW M5
To test a newly developed W10 engine in everyday driving conditions, Volkswagen installed it in a 2000 BMW M5 (E39) for Ferdinand Piëch.
The project is said to have cost over 2 million euros at the time. Piëch had about 80 additional PS at his disposal compared to the BMW V8, but visually, the car differed only in its dashboard and, of course, the engine under the hood.
This one-of-a-kind car is now expected to fetch between 250,000 and 350,000 euros. A second engine is also included as a display piece. The W10 never went into series production.
The unrestored 300 SL Gullwing
The green Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was delivered in 1955 to Hans Huwyler, a Swiss garage owner in Lenzburg. Equipped with very special accessories, the coupe remained in the family for nearly half a century, and to this day, the car remains unrestored.
Bids of EUR 1.7 to 2 million are now expected.
In addition to the gull-wing model, a 1957 300 SL Roadster will also go under the hammer; bids of 1.1 to 1.3 million euros are expected here, though no reserve price has been set.
Two modern mid-engine Porsches
Broad Arrow is offering both a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT and a 2015 918 Spyder.
The estimates are at a similar level, at around EUR 3 million.
However, there are also more affordable ways to acquire a rare Porsche at Zoute. For example, a 1993 968 Club Sport in blue is estimated at EUR 50,000 to 70,000, while a 1953 356 Pre-A “Knickscheibe” convertible is estimated at EUR 140,000 to 180,000.
Many Superclassics
Of course, Zoute’s Broad Arrow lineup shines with many “blue chips.”
Notable examples include a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Volante, a 1966 Bizzarini 5300 GT Strada, an elegant 1937 Bentley 4 1/4-Liter Aerofoil Sport, a 1966 Citroën DS21 Cabriolet Palm Beach by Chapron, a 1972 De Tomaso GTS Group 3, a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT/L, a 1972 Dino 246 GTS, two Ferrari BBs, a total of four Ferrari 550/575 variants, a Ferrari 430 Scuderia, a Jaguar XJ220, a Lamborghini Countach, a Lamborghini Diablo, a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider, a Lancia Flaminia Zagato Series 1, a 1976 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, a 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II DHC, or a 1966 Shelby GT 350 Fastback. And the list could go on much longer.
And, of course, supercars like the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari are also included. The latter is expected to be the most expensive car in the auction.
Exotic Cars
For EUR 160,000 to 175,000, you can become the owner of one of the most beautiful Fiats.
Based on a design by Giovanni Michelotti, Vignale built a Fiat 1100 TV coupé in 1957. In 2026, the car—freshly restored—was showcased at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
Only 150 APAL GTs were produced in the early 1960s, featuring a plastic body inspired by the Porsche 356 B GTL Abarth Carrera. A 1965 model is set to go under the hammer in Zoute. Equipped with a two-liter four-cylinder engine producing about 130 PS, the coupe—which weighs only about 650 kg—should be a nimble drive, but buyers will first need to invest between EUR 60,000 and 90,000 to purchase it.
The Principality of Monaco hasn’t produced many major automakers, but one of them is MCA (Monte Carlo Automotive). In 1990, the company unveiled the Centenaires, a mid-engine supercar with a carbon-fiber monocoque, similar to that of an F1 race car. The engine chosen was the 5.2-liter V12 from the Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV. Only five such cars were built; chassis EL 0002 GB is now estimated to be worth between EUR 900,000 and 1.2 million.
The SS Jaguar 100 can probably now be counted among the exotic cars as well. At Broad Arrow, a 1937 2.5-liter model—valued at a relatively low price, with an Eastern European history and likely having been out of service for some time—is seeking a new owner for between EUR 120,000 and 160,000.
Further information and numerous photos are available on the auction house’s website.
