The film scenes for the online event have already been shot and classic car enthusiasts are looking forward to it: on Saturday, February 5, 2022, the organizers of the 20th Bremen Classic Motorshow will present the digital edition of the classic car show from 4 to 6 p.m., marking the traditional start of the new classic car season - online on the Bremen Classic Motorshow website for the second time in a row due to the pandemic.
"Our spectators can look forward to detailed classic car presentations, interesting specialist lectures and workshops with real professionals, which we will present in the usual entertaining and entertaining way. Interaction with the audience is of course desired and planned," announces project manager Frank Ruge.
Disappeared bread-and-butter cars
Fans of genuine rarities will be amazed.
Under the slogan "The red list of run-of-the-mill cars", classic car expert Christian Steiger presents formerly popular, mass-produced cars that are hardly ever seen on the roads today for various reasons - whether Fiat 1500, Peugeot 504 saloon or Ford 17M P7A.
The opponents of the Porsche 911
The online event is also dedicated to the infamous "Porsche killers" and pits an early Porsche 911 T against a Ford Capri RS 2600, a BMW 2002 turbo and an Opel Commodore A GS/E.
They were called "Porsche killers" when the sports car icon had to move over to the right at the zenith of the high-speed duel.
For the youngsters
There is much discussion in the scene about promoting young talent, but it is rarely actively pursued. The Classic Motorshow team is tackling this: In a workshop, experts show the weak points on two youngtimer station wagons popular among younger classic car fans (Mercedes-Benz W124-T model and Volvo 945). The organizers hope that the youngsters will not have to pay so much tuition money thanks to the expert knowledge.
In addition, the experts from TÜV Süd will provide information on the criteria according to which a car receives the coveted H license plate. In addition to the state of preservation, the topic of "contemporary tuning" will also be discussed during the H license plate approval. As a basis for discussion, four vehicles that speak for themselves are presented in short films.
Motorcycle competition
Motorcycle historian Andy Schwietzer comments on two polarizing pairs from the motorcycle department of PS.SPEICHER from Einbeck: Honda CB 750 Four and Suzuki GT 750 A as well as Gilera 150 Rossa Super and DKW RT 175 S.
Schwietzer explains why two- and four-strokes have enlivened the scene for decades in all cubic capacity classes and all vehicle types and nations.
In addition, many spectators will once again be put to the test: TÜV-Süd has inspected three originally preserved young classics with low mileage and is offering them for sale.
The online event will take place free of charge on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Bremen Motor Classic website. Viewers will be interactively involved in all program items directly via the website by having their questions answered by chat, e-mail or viewer telephone (+49 (0)421 3505 - 525).
More information is of course available on the Berlin Classic Motorshow website.
