There is still a good month and a half to go until the auction at the Oldtimer Galerie in Toffen on November 28, 2015, but the range of cars already on offer is already impressive. In terms of versatility, it is hard to beat, as both the pre-war era and the post-war decades are represented and the range of brands is also impressive.
The three eight-cylinder engines from Mercedes-Benz
The three eight-cylinder models with the M100 engine from Mercedes-Benz were announced earlier. They were among the most attractive and rarest saloons ever produced in Sindelfingen: the Mercedes-Benz 600, 300 SEL 6.3 and 450 SEL 6.9.
Le Mans feeling
The Chenard-Walcker T3 Tourer from 1924 exudes a real Le Mans feeling, as an almost identical vehicle took seventh place in the 1923 endurance classic in the Sarthe.
If you want to know how people covered almost 2000 kilometers in 24 hours back then, you can get a piece of history with the Chenard-Walcker.
Everyday cars of the past
You used to see them on every corner, the Ford Escort (dog bone) or the Citroën 2 CV Spécial, but a BMW 325e also used to be a popular everyday car. Today, these cars will soon be rarities on the roads, but they are hard to beat in terms of nostalgic value.
Sixties and seventies classics
This group included the Ford Thunderbird, the Dodge Challenger and the Jaguar 3.8 S, as well as the Ford Mustang convertible and the Austin Healey 3000.
Youngtimers
Toffen also has plenty to offer in the way of future classic cars, such as an Alfa Romeo GTV6, a BMW 635 CSI, a Mercedes-Benz 190 E and a VW Golf Cabriolet.
The Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evo 1 should be of particular interest to many fans of the fast baby Benz.
"Future Classics" - future classics
Future classics such as the 1994 Dodge Viper or the 1997 Maserati Ghibli 2.8 could be of interest to people thinking about tomorrow. They are still almost too young to be seen as youngtimers, but you can be sure they will make their mark.
More vehicles are still being accepted, but the list is filling up. The cars will be auctioned on November 28, 2015 from 13:30, and can be viewed in advance.
