Some automobilia, two children's cars, eight motorcycles, but above all 54 cars will be put under the hammer by Bonhams on June 30, 2024 at the Bonmont golf course near Cheserex near Geneva.
On average, the cars are 34 years old and cost around 21 million in total. 41 percent of the cars are offered without a minimum price.
Old against new
In principle, the auction of the cars is in two parts: 30 cars were built after 2000, while 24 cars were built before 2000.
The young cars cost an average of CHF 522,500, the older ones CHF 220,883.
Many Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini
Twelve of the 54 cars on offer are from Aston Martin, eight have a Ferrari badge and six are Lamborghinis.
These are joined by five Porsches, four Mercedes Benz and three Jaguars. All other car brands are represented by a maximum of two cars.
The Lamborghini vehicles are the youngest (21 years old), while the three Jaguars are 57 years old on average. 83% of the Aston Martins are sold without a minimum bid, but none of the Porsches.
The young and wild
Anyone looking for a hypercar or super sports car from the modern era will find an extensive selection at Bonmont. For example, there is a Ferrari 599 GTO from 2011 or a 599 SA Aperta from 2011 (CHF 1.7 to 2 million) for sale, as well as two Lamborghini Reventon, a Lamborghini Centenario Roadster from 2017 and two McLaren (P1 and Elva).
Typical for this class of car, the mileage is low and the estimated value is high.
Plexi-Daytona
One of the highlights is certainly a Ferrari Daytona with the famous Plexi front.
Chassis 12637 is one of the early 530 Daytona without folding headlights and is now offered for CHF 600'000 to 800'000.
The Ferrari 250 GTE from 1961, which will go under the hammer for CHF 400,000 to 600,000, is somewhat less expensive.
Jaguar XK 120 open and closed
Two Jaguars from the same period will find new owners in Cheserex.
A 1952 Coupé with Spats is offered for CHF 60,000 to 90,000, while the 1954 OTS version was estimated at CHF 80,000 to 120,000.
Both cars will be auctioned without a reserve price.
The Jaguar XJ220, which left the factory in 1994 and now carries an estimate of CHF 400,000 to 600,000, is likely to be significantly more expensive.
This means that the XJ220 is still cheaper than the Lexus LFA, which is listed in the catalog at CHF 500,000 to 700,000.
On the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Turbo
Bonhams can offer two Porsche 930s, both with the 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine.
The flat-nosed example from 1987 is expected to cost CHF 120,000 to 170,000, while the normal coupé from 1986 is offered for CHF 100,000 to 150,000.
An early Porsche 356 Speedster from 1955 with a 1.6-liter engine is expected to fetch more money, with an estimate of CHF 350,000 to 450,000.
Two special bodies
A beautiful Pinin-Farina convertible based on the Lancia Astura of the fourth series with four doors from 1939 is offered for CHF 280,000 to 400,000.
The only Delahaye 135 MS from 1946, converted into a convertible by Swiss coachbuilder Köng, is looking for a new owner for CHF 220,000 to 280,000.
However, the oldest car in the auction is a Bugatti Type 43 from 1928, which was once the winner's prize at the 1929 Bugatti Le Mans Grand Prix and is now expected to fetch CHF 500,000 to 800,000.
Five classic Astons
In addition to the more recent Aston variants, there are also classic cars, including two from the David Brown era, namely a DB2/4 MkII from 1956 and a DB6 Mark 2 Vantage from 1970.
They are joined by a V8 Volante from 1986, a Lagonda from 1990 and a Virage Volange from 1995.
Away from the usual
A Monteverdi Safari from 1978 represents the historic off-road vehicle/SUV segment.
The Monteverdi with its elegant American bodywork is expected to cost CHF 90,000 to 110,000.
The Lamborghini Urraco P300 is certainly also rare; only 205 examples were built. The mid-engined sports car, which has been on the road in Switzerland for many years, has been estimated at CHF 120,000 to 160,000 and is being sold without a reserve price.
The Zagato-bodied Lancia Flaminia 25 3C from 1963 is likely to be similarly rare. The estimate is CHF 220,000 to 250,000, but Swiss buyers will still have to import the car, which will increase the purchase price by around 13% after commission.
And finally, a Lagonda 2.6 Litre four-door sedan is also looking for a new home. The unrestored car, which is extremely rare in this form, has been estimated at CHF 20,000 to 30,000 and is likely to be the cheapest way to buy a car at auction on June 30, 2024.
The Mercedes-Benz 500E from 1992, also offered without a reserve price, promises to be somewhat more expensive, with an estimate of CHF 35,000 to 55,000.
