On January 25, 2025 at Bonhams at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, 81 vehicle lots, including two scooters, two motorcycles and a tricycle (Ape) worth USD 18.65 million will go under the hammer in addition to a number of automobiles. 58% of the vehicles were offered without a reserve price.
European-influenced offer
With 15 Porsches, 10 Rolls-Royces, eight Mercedes-Benz and five Jaguars, European brands dominate the catalog. The most strongly represented American brand is Cadillac with just two cars.
On average, the cars are 52 years old and valued at USD 230,272. The range of estimates is wide, starting at USD 8,000 (for a Bentley MK VI from 1950) and ending at values in the millions, e.g. with a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing from 1956 or a Ford GT from 2021.
The 37th Miura P400
The Miura P400 on offer with chassis number 3057 from 1967 is the 37th of the 275 Miura P400s built. The coupé has been extensively restored and is presented in Rosso Miura and with a black interior.
USD 2.2 to 2.8 million was estimated for the red Miura.
The last Ferrari 250 Europa GT
Chassis 0427 GT is the last Ferrari 250 Europa GT with Pininarina bodywork. It was shown at the Brussels Motor Show in 1956. After several changes of ownership, the coupé was offered by Albrecht G. Guggisberg in 1998, then went to the States for the second time.
The car was restored a few years ago. It was raced both "in period" and later (e.g. at the Mille Miglia Storica) and is now set to find a new enthusiast in its original color for USD 1.8 to 2.3 million.
A powerful Trans Am Camaro
You don't buy a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with Trans Am racing history every day. The car on offer from 1967 was not originally intended for racing, but was then built accordingly under the "Alan Green Chevrolet" banner and was successful.
USD 425,000 to 525,000 is now expected.
Two racing Skylines
Bonhams can offer two Nissan Skyline racing cars at Scottssale. While the HR31 from 1987 wore the famous Calsconic livery, the DR30 from 1984 drove in white.
The estimated values are between USD 150,000 and 275,000.
Five special Fiat derivatives
With an Abarth Scorpione 1300 S from 1968 and two Fiat-Abarth 1000TC/695 SS from 1965, the selection of fast Fiat cars from the sixties is considerable.
There is also a Fiat 850 Spider with Abarth modifications and a 127 from 1972, which was converted into a beach car (dinghy) by Pietro Frua.
Large selection of Porsches
The 15 Porsches are on average 50 years old. Eight 911 variants (including a 930) and six 356 derivatives make up the majority. However, the 924 Carrera GTR from 1981 is certainly also of interest. WP0ZZZ93ZBS72010 is one of the 17 customer racing cars from 1981.
The car was delivered to Japan at the time, little used and never registered for use on public roads. Now USD 450,000 to 550,000 is expected for this rarity.
Silver Cloud Festival
It is not unusual for many Porsches to appear at an auction. But it is rather rare for Rolls-Royce cars to make up an eighth of the offer. The Rolls are 58 years old on average and nine of the ten cars are being auctioned without a reserve price.
Four Silver Clould models, all limousines and from the second and third series, will go under the hammer, with estimates ranging from USD 10,000 to 225,000.
