Once again, the auction website Catawiki has bundled together some special classics as part of a "premium classic car auction".
Beautifully light blue is a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL from 1961. The color combination of the paint and the interior of this Mercedes makes it an exclusive example, as this combination is rarely seen on the classic car market.
The car was restored a few years ago, but it still has many original elements, such as its interior.
The engine has just been fine-tuned and the oil changed, the car runs beautifully smoothly; absolutely everything on it works, even the clock in the glove compartment, which is a winding clock that was sold as a very desirable option at the time.
After fine-tuning, the car was driven 300 km to ensure its reliability. This car was personally appraised by a Catawiki expert and estimated at EUR 125'000 to 137'500. The car comes with a hardtop in need of restoration.
A red Triumph TR6 from 1971 with overdrive could provide an inexpensive entry into the British roadster world. For EUR 34,000 to 37,500, you can get a vehicle that was completely restored years ago in an attractive color scheme and with original leather seats.
A completely restored rare Maserati Merak 3000 SS from 1975 was estimated by the Catawiki experts at EUR 63,000 to 69,500. Since the restoration, the car has covered barely 1000 km due to lack of time and now has a current mileage of 64,441 kilometers.
The Renault 5 Turbo 2 is also rare: a white example from 1984 was bought by its second and last owner in 1987 with 20,000 km on the clock. The car has been dry for 30 years and has now been recently resurrected and carefully optimized. EUR 122,000 to 135,000 is now expected for the turbo powerhouse.
The black 1964 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Coupé, estimated at EUR 84,500 to 93,000, also looks attractive.
A silver Porsche 911 S Targa from 1975 was built as one of 400 examples to mark the 25th anniversary of the Porsche company. The car now has 118,000 km on the clock and was valued at EUR 83,000 to 92,000.
The 1939 Ford Roadster Custom is a one-off. The technology dates back to the pre-war period and a modified MGA steel body was used. The eye-catching classic is now to be auctioned for EUR 55,000 to 61,000.
In addition to these vehicles, several other rare classics will go under the hammer virtually until October 31, 2021.
The entire "Premium Classic Car Auction" offer and lots of information about the cars on offer can be found on the Catawiki website.
