To mark the 65th anniversary of the Italian cult model Alfa Romeo Giulietta, which was launched in 1954 and produced until 1965, the Lopresto Collection is organizing a unique special exhibition in collaboration with the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
At the exclusive exhibition of some rare pieces from the Collezione Lopresto, one of the most important car collections in the world, visitors were given unique insights into the glorious history and special features of the Alfa Romeo brand. Corrado Lopresto, founder and owner of the Collezione Lopresto, was also on site on June 13, 2019.
12 rarities
Among the vehicles on display are the Pinin Farina spider prototype presented at the 1955 international motor shows and the alternative Bertone proposal designed by Scaglione.
The prototype of the SS Bertone, which was shown at the Turin Motor Show in 1957, can also be seen.
Finally, the SZ "coda tronca", which was recognized by UNESCO in 2016 for its restoration, is also on display.
A total of 12 cars will remain on display at the museum from June 13 to July 12, 2019.
In addition to the cars already mentioned, the Alfa Romeo models Giulietta TI Moretti from 1958, Giulietta TI Scioneri from 1960, Giulietta Fissore from 1958, Giulietta Sprint Veloce Prototipo from 1958, Giulietta Sprint Lusso from 1956, Giulietta Sprint Veloce Molteni Speciale and several more will also be on display.
There has probably never been such a concentration of important Giulietta models in one place. A visit to the Lucerne Museum of Transport is therefore doubly worthwhile.
