The history of the Ollon-Villars hill climb dates back to 1953, when it was held 10 times until 1971 and was often the venue for the European Hill Climb Championship.
In 1998, the event was brought back to life as a historic hill climb. The 8th edition was due to take place in 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the event had to be postponed to 2021. Now Covid-19 is once again standing in the way, the planning security was not given.
The organizers were forced to postpone the event by another year. The new dates are August 20 and 21, 2022.
