The "Meilenwerk der Region Stuttgart" has been called "Motorworld Region Stuttgart" since January 4, 2014.
The magical location on the outskirts of the southern German town of Böblingen has become a national and international meeting place for the scene far beyond the borders of Germany. Anyone for whom classic cars, collectors' vehicles, sports cars and motorcycles are more than just practical means of transportation is offered a hotspot that is second to none.
The attractive architecture of the listed halls of the former Württemberg state airport is combined with modern new buildings.
A tall, striking glass tower, "Tower 66", which is part of the building ensemble, can be seen by visitors from afar as they approach via the A81.
A success story
Motorworld is more than just a location for classic cars and collectors' vehicles. Nobody expected the above-average development of the project, which won the Real Estate Award of the Stuttgart Metropolitan Region, to this extent.
In the very first year after opening in 2009, over 500,000 visitors and guests were recorded, with an annual growth rate in the double-digit percentage range.
Both frequency and visitor numbers exceed all forecasts. This is why the location is undergoing continuous and international development. The aim is to meet the high expectations of visitors. We are open to new ideas in every respect - on land, on water and in the air.
At the upper end of the speed range, it has become a provider of high-end, lifestyle, entertainment and leisure. The circle is getting bigger and bigger. The demands are becoming more complex and individual. That is why Motorworld is the perfect term to aptly describe the evolved concept.
For everyone and everyone
The target group is not just best agers with a love of classic cars. The range is much wider. It is simply aimed at everyone - every age group, families, business people, festive parties, tourists, people who like to buy and do things, bikers, vehicle enthusiasts in all conceivable facets, who (continue to) move on all terrains and in all parts of the world.
Guided tours of the future Motorworld will be offered in six languages. Requests for vehicle glass storage boxes and presentation areas have long been international. The popularity of the location has its own dynamic.
Celebrities as regular guests
Celebrities such as Günther Netzer, Sebastian Vettel, Heinz Harald Frentzen, Markus Winkelhock, Hans Herrmann... and many others are regular guests at the Stuttgart Region location and come as private visitors or for professional reasons.
Social networks spread the word about the location around the world.
Huge
5 restaurants, over 10 themed conference rooms, event areas for up to 1,000 people, 56 glass storage boxes for bikes and bolides, showrooms, themed exhibitions and special exhibits, dealers, service providers, boutiques, agencies, galleries in the museum and art sector as well as the 4-star V8 Hotel with fitness and wellness area. All of this is a world of its own - a literal Motorworld.
The total Motorworld area now amounts to more than 25,000 square meters of powerful passion - that is more than three times the area of Cologne Cathedral. Further construction phases are being planned.
A new era begins. Progress demands change. The journey continues with the internationally understandable term "Motorworld" and the addition "Stuttgart Region".
