The "Baiersbronn Classic" is entering its second round after the successful inaugural event last fall. From September 25 to 28, 2014, this historic rally will once again commemorate the legendary Ruhestein mountain race of 1946, the first motorsport event in Germany after the war.
500 km through the Black Forest to Ortenau
Over three days, the "Baiersbronn Classic" leads around 500 kilometers through the Black Forest to the Ortenau wine region on the most beautiful side roads.
The sporting challenge: around 20 special stages where only mechanical watches may be used. For the less experienced, the organizer Baiersbronn Touristik offers a training course with practical exercises.
BMW brand ambassador Leopold Prince of Bavaria and co-driver Paul Rosche were among the enthusiastic premiere guests at last year's Baiersbronn Classic. They led the starting grid of the first Baiersbronn Classic with the much admired winning car from 1946, the legendary BMW 328 Touring Coupé.
The entry fee for the three-day event, a mix of historic motorsport on fantastic routes and outstanding culinary delights from Baiersbronn's star chefs, is 1,600 euros per team of two. Vehicles built up to 1975 are permitted.
Entry deadline is June 1, 2014.
More information, photo and video impressions as well as the entry documents can be found on the event website.
