The BMW M3 E30 was introduced in 1986; 40 years have passed since then. In 2027, for the first time, the BMW M3 will be launched on the market as both an internal combustion engine vehicle and a fully electric vehicle. M GmbH’s first all-electric car remains true to its BMW M DNA and is intended to win over even die-hard “gasheads” to electric mobility.
The BMW Classic Event will kick off the anniversary celebrations in Switzerland. On September 12, 2026, BMW fans will gather at Motorworld Kemptthal “The Valley” to showcase their vehicles.
The event will feature unique “Closed Rooms” offering a glimpse into historic Art Cars and special-edition models. Guests will be able to experience the future of the BMW brand through an exclusive preview of the new 3 Series and a first look at the still-camouflaged all-electric M3.
Anyone wishing to exhibit their own vehicle should bring a BMW that is at least 20 years old. Of course, visitors are also welcome to attend without an exhibition vehicle.
