The Automobilhistorische Gesellschaft e. V. (AHG) has a new management team: at the recent Annual General Meeting in Munich, motor journalist Wolfgang Blaube (50) from Hamburg was elected Chairman, while Berlin banker Thomas Ulrich (59) was appointed Managing Director.
The previous chairman, the former Citroën press attaché, chronicler and author Immo Mikloweit from Cologne, had previously resigned from office. Wolfgang Blaube had already taken over the management of the association from Malte Krüger (Berlin) on an interim basis in spring 2013.
Committed to the truth and the unknown
The AHG is an association of expertswho research and publish in the field of automotive history. These include technicians, historians and journalists as well as curators from well-known museums and archivists. Private collectors are also represented.
One of the aims of the society is to promote the truthful presentation of automotive history to the public - an ambitious goal in view of the increasing "historic marketing" of large companies.
Above all, the AHG is committed to those models, innovations and achievements of past companies that are in danger of being forgotten outside of brand communication and media presence.
