The Automechanika in Frankfurt is planning a new edition for young and classic cars from September 10 to 14, 2024. Under the motto "Where Passion meets Business", classic car experts and enthusiasts will meet at the leading international trade fair for the industry, workshops and trade to discuss trends in the classic and vintage car business. You can look forward to a varied and diverse program:
From experts for experts: lectures & discussion panels
The classic car business has its home in Hall 11.1, directly adjacent to the bodywork and paintwork area, where various program items are planned on the stage on all five days of the trade fair. For example, there will be a panel discussion with young entrepreneurs who will talk about visions, new business models and their passion for historic vehicles. Other topics include the tokenization of classic cars, a digital database with information on model- and year-specific vehicle parts, paint solutions and historic motorcycles as an investment. Finally, Tobias Reichle and Florian Urbitsch, Managing Directors of the "National Car Museum The Loh Collection", will explain how they have made Friedhelm Loh's world-class collection accessible to the public.
Some of the people who will be speaking on stage in September are already being introduced in the Automechanika Classic Car Podcast. The current episode, for example, is about recruiting young talent in classic car businesses. The two Dutchmen Pauline Louwman and Mike Kastrop talk about their "Talent4Classic" foundation and explain the special methods they use to boost the self-confidence of their employees, create a positive working environment in their workshop and ultimately inspire young talent for the classic car industry.
Classic cars you can touch
In addition to the topic of further training, there will be a vintage lounge where historic vehicles can be experienced live: Italian collector Corrado Lopresto will be exhibiting his award-winning Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Zagato there, and the "National Car Museum The Loh Collection" will also be presenting a special vehicle. Motorcycle fans can look forward to two selected exhibits: a Bimota YB 6 from 1989 and a Sarolea 350 SV from 1923.
Nice "treat": classic car rally at Automechanika
For the first time, the "Rhein-Main-Klassik" rally takes you from Automechanika and the Frankfurt exhibition grounds to the streets of "Mainhatten". 100 classic cars from over 100 years of automotive history will connect city and country, history and future, Rhine and Main on their journey from September 13 to 15, 2024.
All information on the trade fair program can be found on the Automechanika Frankfurt website.
