Between October 26 and 29, the 34th edition of Auto e Moto d' Epoca will be the biggest yet. The leading Italian motor show in Padua combines the best of classic and modern: international car manufacturers, 5000 classic cars for sale, several hundred exhibitors, new areas in the pavilions and a new "off the road" salon in the city center.
Auto e Moto d' Epoca is the most important contemporary automobile fair in Italy and the largest classic car market in Europe. Combining these two facets - past and present - has always been the goal of Padua and the origin of its uniqueness. Both are ingredients of a passion that is renewed every year on over 90,000 square meters of exhibition space.
In Padua, in fact, it is not only about bringing the history of models and cars, but also about making visible the relationship between them: the transmission of fundamental values and tradition that inspire all car brands - from the past to the present. Padua reflects what makes each car unique and recognizable: the emotions it carries with it.
The 2017 edition is the largest ever held in Padua. Outside the pavilions, streets and squares will be dedicated to the content of the show, to share the culture and beauty of the automobile not only with the 130,000 enthusiasts of the 2016 edition, but also with local residents, tourists and passers-by.
Several of the most important car manufacturers have already confirmed their presence in the halls. Their aim is to share their vision of the future with the great history that has shaped them. To achieve this goal, both the latest and the most beautiful models of all time will be on display from FCA - with Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Abarth - Audi, Citroën, Maserati, Mercedes, Jaguar, Pagani, Peugeot, Porsche and Volvo. Tesla will also be present at the fair, which gives value to the past to emphasize the importance of the electric car in the present.
Another new feature in the 2017 edition is the return of the Bonhams auction house to Italy after almost forty years. With locations worldwide, 60 specialist departments and over 400 auctions a year, Bonhams is one of the world's leading auction houses. On Saturday, October 28, 60 of the rarest and most sought-after cars on the market will be offered in Padua, including a Lancia Flaminia Zagato and Touring Convertibile.
In the areas dedicated to the best European dealers and private sellers, more than 5,000 vintage cars and motorcycles will be on display: a unique selection in Europe and a wide range of models and ages, from the rarest to the most popular cars, each remarkable for quality and comfort.
In addition to more than 500 European specialists in original spare parts, Padua stocks rare parts, documents, chassis, steering wheels, electronic and mechanical components and accessories for every make and model. Many small artisan workshops - the backbone of the Italian craftsmanship tradition - will also be present: from masters of wood veneering and car restoration to the best experts in tires, alloy wheels and travel accessories.
A new Classic Square for retailers and new covered and uncovered areas for private sellers - such as the new N area - are signs of a steadily growing trade fair. Gallery 78 will also present a new sector where the best Italian and European companies will offer a wide range of personalized products for the pleasure of collectors: Mufflers, racing clutches, engine grinding techniques, anti-ovation polyurethane pads and the much-matured fairings for Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Giulia Spider.
Inside and outside the pavilions, Padua will provide a 360-degree overview of the world of the car: how it was, how it has evolved, how it will be. The focus will be on the visitor, who will find all the ingredients of his passion gathered around him.
