The Italian classic car fair Auto e Moto d'Epoca will be held for the first time in Bologna from October 26 to 29, marking the 40th edition of the event, which is also popular abroad. It has a lot to offer, including one of, if not the largest classic car market in Europe and the "Mall" with specialists, restorers, parts dealers and artists.
Huge classic car market with over 4000 vehicles expected
The Auto e Moto d'Epoca classic car market is probably the largest and most diverse in Europe and the move to the exhibition center in Bologna, which is better known and easier to reach from abroad, is helping to increase bookings from both international exhibitors and visitors from abroad.
A brief preview of the market:
A collection of unique models surrounded by plants and flowers, such as a Ferrari 250 GT Spider California, a Ferrari 250 SWB, a Ferrari 250 Spider Pininfarina, a De Tomaso Mangusta, an Iso Grifo, a Maserati Mistral Spider 3500cc and a Ferrari 330, will be on offer at Irmo Artioli's "The Garden of Jewels" stand.
A Maserati Mc8, a rare racing car and the latest official Maserati to race, as well as an important part of the car manufacturer's modern history, will accompany the Autoluce stand together with several Ferraris from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Special attention will be paid to the Porsche models from Scotti Srl "Cars of Passion".
Connolly Brothers Curriers Ltd. is distinguished by its precious leather for classic cars, with which brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Concorde, as well as the English Parliament, the British Library, Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation carriage of King Edward VII were equipped.
The world's only example of the gray Lancia Delta with blue interior belonging to lawyer Gianni Agnelli, a Renault 5 Maxi TURBO 1, a Fiat 131 Abarth Rally with Turin license plates and the gray Fiat Panda 4x4, also belonging to lawyer Giovanni Agnelli, are just some of the vehicles exhibited by Autocrono.
In addition, over 60 automotive icons such as the Bugatti Type 44 Torpedo (1929), Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider "America" (1955), Alfa Romeo AR RZ "Roadster Zagato" (1995) by Silvauto will be on display.
Showcase for restorers, parts dealers and specialists
The 235,000 m² of exhibition space at the 40th edition of the Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2023 classic car fair will also include the "Mall": the central area, the hub between the various halls, dedicated to the most important companies specializing in the care, restoration and service technology of classic cars and motorcycles.
Among this year's offerings: A selection of gearboxes for Lancia Stratos, Ferrari 308, Lancia Rally 037, Ford Escort, Opel Manta 400, Bmw M1, De Tomaso Pantera and BMW 2002 will be presented by the company GR-BOX by Fantini Silvia, specialized in the supply of manual and differential gearboxes for vintage racing cars.
Mavment Srl offers the supply of spare parts, both original and reproduction, for classic and modern Porsche, assistance, services and support in all phases of purchase, from the choice of the right product for the vehicle to delivery and assembly.
Customizable indoor or outdoor car covers in standard sizes or made to measure, tire cushions, seat covers and certified Made in Italy steering wheel covers are the top products in the range exhibited by Sofin Srl.
Qualified specialists in galvanic surface treatment, who can bring vintage cars and furnishings back to life, will be present at the stand of the family-run company Galvanica Partenopea.
Pimax Classic's product range includes high-quality spare parts of all kinds, such as electric and manual windshield lifters, mechanical and electric fuel pumps, engine valves, electric valves, spark plug cables and ignition coils, headlights, electrical and electronic components and starter pinions.
Car racing and vintage products from famous brands such as Supersprint, Green Filter, Frizioni SACHS Performance, Pakelo and Apex will be presented at the stand of national distributor RPM Racing Parts Milano.
Conservative restoration for classic car interiors: restoration of plastic dashboards, repair and dyeing of leather or vinyl seats, treatment of carpets, dyeing of PVC or fabric soft tops, restoration of wooden steering wheels and burl wood areas, as well as all other interior components and the folding roof. All this will be presented at the RR-Solution stand by Paola Costalunga, who will offer the "before" and "after" of his restoration for comparison to show the extraordinary transformation of his work.
Finally, the art of the coachbuilder, an ancient skill and craft that looks to a future in the world of classic car restoration, will be presented at the show by the master craftsmen of the CNA Restoration Academy, a regular guest at Auto e Moto d'Epoca for years and a pioneer in the transfer of craftsmanship to new generations.
