As every year, three major auction houses - Artcurial, Bonhams and RM/Sotheby's - will each hold an auction at the Rétromobile in Paris. More and more vehicles are already being named that will go under the hammer from February 7 to 10, 2018.
Ferrari 275 P
Artcurial has already presented almost a dozen vehicles, which will be auctioned as usual on February 9, 2017 as part of the Rétromobile. The undisputed highlight will be the sale of the Ferrari 275 P from 1964, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the time.
A sales value of over EUR 20 million is certainly not unrealistic for this car.
Porsche collection
For fans of the Zuffenhausen sports car manufacturer, however, Jean-Claude Miloé's collection is likely to be even more interesting. It starts with a 904 GTS from 1964, which took part in the 500 km of Spa, the 1000 km on the Nürburgring and the Tour de France Automobile in the year it was built. The estimated value is EUR 1.4 to 1.8 million.
These are joined by two 356 Carrera variants, a 356 A 1600 GS Cabriolet from 1959 (EUR 800,000 to 1.2 million) and a 356 2000 Carrera GT from 1961 (EUR 800,000 to 1.2 million), as well as a 911 Carrera RS from 1973 (EUR 550,000 to 650,000).
Vanvooren selection
The Volante collection includes several vehicles with special Vanvooren bodies, including a Bugatti Type 57 from 1939 (EUR 700,000 to 900,000), an Alvis Speed 20 SD Cabriolet (EUR 200'000 to 300,000), a Hispano-Suiza K6 limousine from 1937 (EUR 180,000 to 260,000) and a Delahaye 135M Coupé from 1950 (EUR 250,000 to 350,000).
Beautiful bodies from the pre-war years
In addition, various attractive cars from the period just before or during the Second World War will come under the hammer, e.g. a Horch 5 Litre 853 Cabriolet from 1937 (EUR 600,000 to 800,000), a Bugatti 57C Atalante Coupé from 1938 (EUR 3 to 3.5 million) and the unique Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Cabriolet Speciale by Pininfarina from 192 (EUR 1.2 to 1.6 million).
Artcurial will also be selling a motorcycle collection of 80 two- and three-wheelers from the pioneer era in a second auction on Saturday, February 10.
Further information can of course be found on the Artcurial Motorcars website.
