On May 30 and 31, 2026, Arbon will once again be transformed into a paradise for lovers of historic mobility. Arbon Classics is celebrating its 10th edition and invites visitors on an impressive journey through over a hundred years of technology and transportation history.
With free admission, the popular event has been delighting guests from all over Switzerland and neighboring countries for over two decades. What once started small has long since developed into one of the most important classic car and mobility festivals on Lake Constance. The anniversary edition promises a weekend full of nostalgia, emotion, steam and impressive machines.
Historic vehicles on road, rail, water and in the air
On the streets of Arbon, gleaming classics, historic automobiles, motorcycles and mighty steam rollers are sure to amaze visitors. When the steel giants roll through the town under steam, the history of technology can be experienced up close - an experience for young and old alike. Visitors can also explore the large vehicle park or enjoy a nostalgic round trip on the legendary Saurer Schnauzen post bus.
Railroad enthusiasts will also get their money's worth: the popular shuttle trips on the historic steam train between Arbon and Romanshorn exude a real sense of nostalgia. A special highlight of the anniversary edition are the fascinating 1:32 scale real steam model railroads and the presentation of the detailed N-gauge model of the legendary Suisse Train Bleu including original carriages at the station.
Maritime flair awaits guests directly on the shores of Lake Constance. The magnificent steamship Hohentwiel, the elegant MS Oesterreich and numerous lovingly restored vintage ships turn the port of Arbon into a floating time capsule. Visitors have the opportunity to experience unforgettable round trips on historic ships and discover Lake Constance from a nostalgic perspective.
The sky above Lake Constance also becomes a stage for historical technology. The impressive aircraft of the Altenrhein Aviation Museum bring the pioneering days of aviation back to life. The program is complemented by spectacular flight demonstrations and a fly-by of the Zeppelin - a special highlight for young and old.
