Persevere and arrive
- is the premise of the Winter Rally Styria, which will take place for the 8th time from January 9 to 10, 2015. The rally takes place on the historic rally routes of the 1960s and early 1970s and is a sporty touristic outing - road traffic regulations must be observed at all times.
On snow-covered roads across Styria
The route leads on snow-covered and icy mountain, forest and secondary roads through Styria and - if passable in winter - over several classic special stages of the most famous rallies from the 60s and 70s (International Austrian Alpine Rally, 1000-Minute Rally, Semperit Rally and many more).
Up to 1986
Historic vehicles built up to and including 1986 are eligible. In order to put older and less powerful vehicles on an equal footing, all vehicles built up to and including 1965 and/or with an engine capacity of less than 1300 cc will be scored with a factor of 0.8.
No counting by 100ths of a second
For once, this winter rally is not about counting 100ths of a second. Instead, the teams need good nerves, stamina and good vehicle control.
Overnight stay, registration deadline and further information...
The start and finish will once again be on the main square in Leoben in Upper Styria, and you can choose your own accommodation. As before, the Hotel Kongress has a contingent of around 40 double rooms available for rally participants and their companions.
The registration period ends on December 1, 2014 - or until the maximum 40 starting places have been allocated!
Further information can be found on the Winterrallye-Steiermark website.
