The special shows are also a highlight in 2014, above all the"Formula 1 made in Germany" exhibition. It showcases the success story of German racing cars, drivers and engines in the premier class of motorsport with around 15 vehicles: from the Silver Arrow, in which the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio drove to the title in 1954, to Sebastian Vettel's world champion car from 2010.
Another highlight: the special automotive design show with concept cars, prototypes and studies from the world's best-known styling companies and car manufacturers. Citroën, Fuore Design, Italdesign Giugiaro, Hyundai, IED, Lazareth, Peugeot, Rinspeed, Sbarro and Zenvo will be among the exhibitors.

Traditionally, a large number of active and former motor sportsmen and women gather in the exhibition halls. Spectacular live action will be provided by the drift artists of the Gymkhana Drift Cup, who will hold their final in the DMAX sports arena in Hall 7.
Public magnet tuningXperience shows over 100 vehicles from private tuners
Last year, tuningXperience proved to be a crowd-puller at the Essen Motor Show. This year, over a hundred private tuners will be presenting their modified vehicles in Hall 12, including the leading protagonists of the global and national scene. In addition to tuningXperience, the Hella Show & Shine Award is also dedicated to private tuners: ten owners and their vehicles have prevailed in a pre-selection and are now presenting their cars at the Essen Motor Show. Who wins in the end will be decided by the visitors, who can vote for their favorite on site or online.
Oldtimer & Classic Cars: Special show celebrating 80 years of Jaguar
Classic car enthusiasts will also get their money's worth in Essen: S.I.H.A., organizer of the Classic and Prestige Salon in Hall 1, is putting on an exclusive special show:"Jubilee Preview: 80 Years Jaguar Sporting History 1935-2015" is the motto. Visitors will be given a foretaste of the anniversary of the British luxury brand, which was also successful in motorsport.
PS Speed Bike Show with the needle on the stop
The motorcycle area scores points with the manufacturer Horex, the tuning company triplespeed headquarters and the German customizer Scooter Sprint Committee, among others. The PS Speed Bike Show also brings together privately owned modified bikes with individual designs and sometimes breathtaking speeds.
