Time flies: whether it's the VW Corrado, Opel Calibra, BMW Z3, Mercedes 500, Audi 100 or the Smart Knutschkugel - these dream cars felt like new cars just a short time ago and are now already real classics.
On April 15, 2023, the 3rd ADAC Youngtimer Tour will roll through the most beautiful federal state in the world. The start will be at the large workshop at the Reden adventure location in Landsweiler-Reden for the approximately 150-kilometer tour through northern Saarland and the neighboring regions.
Youngtimer fans can experience the teams and cult cars at these stops:
Reismühle Kaffeemanufaktur in Krottelbach - the Lutz family's passion for good coffee prompted them to open their own coffee factory. Participants can see this for themselves at a second breakfast.
Bostalsee - the second stop on the tour takes the teams to the north of Saarland, to the largest lake in south-west Germany with 120 hectares of water and a depth of 20 meters. Here you can experience a pure vacation feeling.
Otzenhausen Celtic Park - here the teams are served drinks and snacks while they follow in the footsteps of the Celts. The Otzenhausen Celtic ring wall is one of the most impressive Celtic fortifications in Europe. Even today, you can still see the ten-metre-high stone ramparts of the monument dating back to the 1st century BC, a Celtic village as it might have looked 2,000 years ago and the large natural arena where theaters, concerts and other performances take place.
Tholey Abbey - the trip takes you to the oldest abbey on German soil. The abbey became internationally famous thanks to the donation of the choir windows by the world-famous artist Gerhard Richter. However, the monastery with its early Gothic abbey church not only impresses with its exciting history, but is also a special place of devotion and art today. The Youngtimer Tour convoy enters the final spurt.
Landsweiler-Reden - this is where the teams started in the morning and this is also the finish line. One of the architectural highlights of the large workshop on the grounds of the Reden adventure village are the classic brick and sandstone façades with their elegant window arches. At first glance, it is hard to believe that trains were once loaded inside the hall.
The ADAC Youngtimer Tour Saarland for vehicles built between 1993 and 2003 focuses on one thing above all: fun and driving pleasure!
