Cruising through the capital in a classic car: This is the ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2016, with around 50 vehicles in their prime starting in Berlin from October 7 to 9, 2016 at the new youngtimer event organized by ADAC Klassik. During two daytime stages through the Berlin countryside and a nighttime section on the streets of the capital, participants can enjoy relaxed driving fun aboard their cool classic cars that are at least 20 years old. Fun, culture and enjoyment are just as much part of the program as skill, smooth driving and exciting games. In short: the ADAC Youngtimer Tour is a rolling adventure playground for classic cars - and those who want to become one.
"In recent years, a youngtimer scene has developed that provides a new entry into the fascinating world of classic cars," says ADAC Sport President Hermann Tomczyk. "We are taking this into account with our new ADAC Youngtimer Tour. The ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2016 is the starting signal for ADAC Klassik's commitment to youngtimers."
Start and finish at Motorworld Classics Berlin
"The ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2016 is the perfect addition to ADAC Klassik's extensive program," says ADAC Klassik spokesman Prof. Dr. Mario Theissen. "We are delighted that we can now offer an attractive event to the steadily growing number of youngtimer enthusiasts in addition to the ADAC Deutschland Klassik and the ADAC Trentino Classic."
The start and finish of the ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2016 is Motorworld Classics Berlin. The two-day tour will add another attractive event to the trade fair under the historic radio tower. This year, classic cars, youngtimers, collectors' vehicles and rarities will be presented for the second time in the historic ambience of Messe Berlin and will provide the setting for the tour organized by ADAC Klassik for the future generation of classic cars. The ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2016 will ensure that the Motorworld Classics Berlin is a great place to be.
Taking your classic out in style
If you want to drive your classic car in style, the premiere of the ADAC Youngtimer Tour is just right for you. The route offers a balanced mix of relaxed enjoyment and a classic car hike. The stress stays at home - instead it's all about enjoying the rolling cultural heritage. Exciting games alternate with cultural highlights and challenges to the teams' skills. Fun on the move - for man and machine.
The ADAC Youngtimer Tour is in line with the trend, as youngtimers are becoming increasingly popular. There are many reasons for this. 20 to 40-year-old cars are a cost-effective alternative to high-priced classic cars and appeal to a generation that can now fulfill the automotive dreams and passions of their youth. Or who are buying their first car again - including emotions and memories. Last but not least, the comparatively mechanic-friendly technology and the emotional design of the bodies also play an important role. This is how the used cars of yesterday become the classics of tomorrow. The ADAC Youngtimer Tour picks up on this trend and offers the owners of automotive treasures from the 80s and 90s driving fun with guaranteed enjoyment.
