Once again this year, the entry list for the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival, which will take place from July 24 to 26, 2025, has to be closed early. Less than three weeks after the registration portal opened, more than 200 entries have already been received, but only around 160 vehicles can be accommodated in Daun city center. The entry list will therefore be closed on February 28, 2025 in order to limit the number of cancellations. There is great international interest and the variety and quality of the registered vehicles is impressive.
The day for connoisseurs
The festival's redesigned schedule offers fans one highlight after another on Thursday. The public scrutineering in the rally mile begins at 2.30 pm. The vehicles will then be presented on the start ramp. The automotive treasures can already be viewed in Daun's town center in the morning. The autograph session will follow at 6.30 p.m. and the traditional welcome evening will begin at 8.30 p.m., during which the celebrity teams will be introduced as usual. In addition, cult filmmaker Helmut Deimel will show his moving images from the history of rally sport in the form of an open-air cinema.
You definitely need a prayer book in Rome
The Saturday stage of this year's festival gets off to a sporting start in Rome. But don't worry, the teams don't have to travel to Italy, they just have to head towards Birresborn. However, as with a visit to the Vatican, a "prayer book" is highly recommended. The third day of the festival opens with two crisp but extremely demanding start-finish demonstration routes in the woods near Gerolstein. Rally history has already been written here. The teams of the 1972 Olympic Rally fought for every second on these uphill-downhill sections, as did the crews of the early Deutschland Rally later on. The meandering curves require precise instructions and perfect cooperation in the cockpit.
Kim Boisen: Danish rally champion in Daun
For the first time, a Danish rally champion, Kim Boisen, will be competing at the Eifel Rallye Festival. The fast Dane secured the ADAC Rallye Masters title in 2012 with a convincing six consecutive divisional wins and two overall victories. Boisen has already been Danish champion in his class once, as there was no overall title there. The Masters title is therefore particularly important for him, as he is the overall winner of a championship for the first time. Together with his daughter Emilie, he secured the Danish national title in historic rallying in 2023. "I've already been to Daun with friends as a spectator and was thrilled - where else can you see so many historic rally cars in one place? It was clear to me then that I wanted to be actively involved myself," says Boisen, explaining his start. The fans can look forward to the Dane drifting in the freshly built BMW M3 according to Appendix K.
The advance sale of tickets and programs in the RallyWebShop starts on 1 April 2025. Further information can be found on the website of the Eifel Rallye Festival.
