Following the successful implementation of the new, innovative Concours concept in 2022 with an attractive city tour for participants and vehicle presentations, the "ACS Concours d'Excellence International" will take place again on September 8 and 9, 2023.
Around seventy historic automobiles are expected once again. These will be presented on the grounds of the Swiss Museum of Transport (VHS) and on the adjacent Lidostrasse. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a road show through Lucerne with various presentation locations. This is thanks to the kind support of the city of Lucerne.
The route leads from the Museum of Transport to various Lucerne hotspots such as Löwenplatz, Schwanenplatz, Alpenquai, Pfistergasse and other highlights. The vehicles will then be awarded prizes by an expert jury on Lidostrasse in front of the Museum of Transport. This year, the public will once again be able to cast their votes at the various locations. The car with the most votes from the public will win the "Excellence Award 2023".
The event focuses on automobiles that have made design and technical history or have a connection to Swiss mobility history and earlier beauty contests. Owners of such automobiles have the opportunity to register to take part in the event on the Concours website.
On the same weekend, i.e. Sunday, September 10, 2023, the Swiss Museum of Transport is also once again offering an open day in the impressive outdoor warehouse of Switzerland's largest mobility museum - the "Rain Open Days". You can find out more about this on the VHS website.
