Once again this year, the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne is hosting the traditional "ACS Concours d'Excellence International, Lucerne" with a unique program. Participants can look forward to a varied experience in which the vehicles will be judged and awarded prizes in various classes by a top-class jury.
Attractive driving format
The ACS Concours will once again take place in an innovative, active driving format. The participating vehicles will be exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport and evaluated by the jury. In addition, the classic cars will be presented at popular locations in Lucerne to make them accessible to a wide audience.
The vehicles and their crews are presented and can be photographed during a tour that takes in numerous Lucerne sights.
Proven program
The event begins on the afternoon of September 13, 2024, with the vernissage of the exhibition 75 Years of Automontage Schinznach in cooperation with AMAG taking place at the Swiss Museum of Transport. Afterwards, the car film "The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" will be shown in the movie theater.
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the classics will be shown at several locations in the city of Lucerne (Hotel Schweizerhof - Schwanenplatz - Pfistergasse - Dreilinden - Luzerner Garten incl. large barbeque).
At the same time, the jury will be judging and the prizes will be awarded in the afternoon/evening.
New classifications
Three new categories have been proposed as special classes this year:
- Automontage Schinznach, i.e. cars assembled by AMAG Schinznach.
- Female Driver, i.e. female drivers and their classic cars
- Young Driver, i.e. young drivers and their classics
