The photographer dynasty of Josef and Daniel Reinhard is not only known in Switzerland, although the "Katastrophen-Sepp" (Josef Reinhard) naturally became an Obwalden institution first and foremost.
In addition to his work as a photographer of local events, the international photographic commitment of Josef Reinhard and Daniel Reinhard, who has photographed over 500 F1 Grand Prix races, is also enormous. The two books "Katastrophen-Sepp" and "Inside Formula 1" document their extensive work over 70 years, and "Trophäen der Zeit" is a documentary film about the life's work of the three Reinhards. Three? Yes, there was also Josef Reinhard's father, who started out as a self-taught photographer.
Cozy flashback
