The Oldtimer GP Brugger Schachen took place for the first time in 2013, and the sixth edition is already being organized for 29 June 2024.
The race takes place on a 960m long course, which is largely rectangular in shape. There is no timekeeping and no ranking list is kept. The speed of the field is adjusted to the respective classes by a lead vehicle.
Vehicles built up to and including 1994 are permitted, in particular
- Vintage cars & historic racing cars
- Monoposti/single-seaters
- Racing motorcycles, racing tricycles and sidecars
Participants do not need a racing driver's license, nor do the vehicles have to be registered, nor is there a noise restriction. However, a valid driving license is required and a modern motorsport helmet must be worn. Co-drivers are not permitted and there is a technical visual inspection of the vehicle before the first drive.
The provisional timetable provides for the arrival of the cars from 07:00, then driving from 09:00 until 17:00.
The entry fee for cars is a humane CHF 240.00, motorcycles and sidecars ride for CHF 160.00. In addition to the driving license, participants receive a commemorative badge, an entry in the program booklet with a photo and a free entry for themselves.

The plan is to be able to offer visitors a diverse field of drivers with around 200 participants in their historic cars and on exciting motorcycles on June 29, 2024. catering will be provided and there will also be plenty of technology from days gone by to discover off the track.
