According to the three-year cycle, it has long been time for historic cars and motorcycles of all ages and origins to tackle the almost 3.5-kilometre route up the Michaelskreuz in Gisikon-Root, Lucerne. The subjunctive mood is, hardly surprisingly, due to the "Krönchen" catastrophe.
The protection concept demanded by the cantonal authorities, in which all participants, including spectators, would have to be checked for recovery, testing or vaccination, is simply not feasible. The organizers therefore had to postpone the Berghatz with a heavy heart. The postponement date is yet to be announced, but the target is now October 8 and 9, 2022, which means that five years will have passed since the last event.
The last race at Michaelskreuz took place in 2017, far too long ago. For all those who like to reminisce, please refer to the Zwischengas report from back then.
