Passione Engadina was created with the aim of bringing the beauty of the Italian lifestyle of tradition, pleasure and style to St. Moritz and the Engadin with classic cars built exclusively in Italy. The event, which is reserved for classic cars produced in Italy up to 1980, will reach its 5th edition in 2016.
Alfa Romeo takes center stage
Every year, an Italian car brand takes center stage. After Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferrari, it is now the turn of Alfa Romeo, which will experience an important global revival in 2016. Passione Engadina 2016 devotes a lot of space to the history of the Milanese brand and pays tribute to the beautiful Alfa 6c and 8c, but also takes a look at the new 4c and 8c models and the entire world of Alfa Romeo. The 6c and 8c are acronyms that stand for the number of cylinders of the two engines designed by Vittorio Jano and which are linked by name to the history of the entire automotive world thanks to their great racing victories, technical solutions and advanced design.
As part of Passione Engadina 2016, historic models and modern design icons will be on display together with Alfa Romeo's new range of vehicles in a large exhibition area in the center of St. Moritz on Sunday, August 21. The event will also pay tribute to the history of Abarth.
The public decides
The Concorso d'Eleganza "Luigino Della Santa" will be judged exclusively by the public in attendance. Three winners will be drawn from the ballot papers to receive a prize from the world of Passione Engadina.
New route through Austria and Italy for the first time
The Julius Baer Rally will have a new route for the 5th edition, which will also pass through Austria and Italy for the first time, while the two-day St. Moritz Challenge Cup with its adrenaline-filled challenges has been relocated to the S-Chanf military base and Samedan Airport.
Taking part yourself...
