As an exception, the 44th British Car Meeting (BCM) was not held in Mollis in 2025 due to another event, but in Kemptthal at Motorworld.
Despite the smooth running and great success of the event, the organizers are looking forward to returning to Mollis Airfield on Sunday, 30 August 2026.
Again with a special guest
With more space and a proven infrastructure in Mollis, a "special guest" can also be celebrated again, which was not possible in Kemptthal due to lack of space.
In 2026, this will be the "Triumph" brand; all of the brand's "products" are welcome, including motorcycles and the cars of the 1980s, when Honda supplied design and technology for Triumph automobiles.
Naturally, however, it will be the classic Triumph sports cars that best represent the Triumph brand, i.e. models from the TR series, the Spitfire or the Vitesse, to name just a few examples.
Of course, it would be nice if a few pre-war Triumph vehicles could also find their way to Mollis on August 30, 2026.
Long tradition
The history of the BCM goes way back to 1978, when it was held for the first time in Rothrist. After various changes of location, there was a longer phase at the Seedamm Center and since 1999, Mollis has been the place that 1000 or more British vehicles head to every year to enjoy a pleasant day with like-minded people.
Everything in the green zone
The weather doesn't always cooperate - after all, cars from the island are used to rain and cool temperatures - but for 2026, of course, the hope is for sunshine.
Admission is free, but the organizers are happy to accept donations, which can be made at the entrance and exit. And of course there will also be a few exhibitors on site again on August 30, 2026 from 09:00 to 16:00 with things and services for the classic automobile.
Further information can be found on the meeting website.
