The 43rd British Car Meeting will take place at Mollis Airfield on August 25, 2024. What began on a very small scale in 1978/79 has now developed into a major event with international appeal, attracting around 1500 vehicles in good weather. The event has been held at Mollis airfield in the beautiful Glarus region for a quarter of a century.
Over a century of British motoring
At the end of August 2024, the BCM will once again bring together a great cross-section of British motoring from many decades. Visitors will not only be interested in cars, but also in stands with automobilia, specialist books, spare parts and club presentations.
And there will also be time for extensive "petrol talks".
Special guest Rootes Group
This year's special guest is not just one brand, but seven, which have been brought together in the Rootes Group. Back then they were called Humber, Hillman, Singer, Sunbeam, Talbot, Commer and Karrier. They then sailed under the banner of Chrysler UK in the 70s - at the end of the 70s PSA took over the group, after which the last remaining products were offered as Talbot UK.
All owners of a three- or four-wheeled vehicle with an English brand name are very welcome at the BCM.
Owners of large-series English vehicles are especially encouraged to take their rarities out of the garage and give them a taste of Mollis.
For visitors without "English" cars, parking spaces are available outside the meeting area.
Further information on the event can be found on the corresponding website.
