60th anniversary
60 years after the first hill climb from Steckborn to Eichhölzli in 1955, the anniversary memorial will take place on September 26 and 27, 2015. As in 2007 and 2010, over 250 historic vehicles will tackle the 3 km long mountain route more or less quickly.
In close contact
The many participants will start in the Memorial Performance and Corso categories and climb the 125 m difference in altitude for the enjoyment of around 10,000 spectators. Spectators will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the cars and drivers at the stands throughout the town.
A little history...
The history of hill climbs in Steckborn goes back to the post-war period: after a few unorganized races on the then still little-used track, the first race was officially held in April 1955. It was a considerable success with the public.
The second race in 1962 was also successful; 195 drivers battled for victory in various categories and around 15,000 spectators lined the race track at the time.
Registration for 2015
Registrations for the 2015 Steckborn-Eichhölzli Memorial Hill Climb will be accepted by ACS Thurgau from April 15, 2015.
