The fifth ADAC Deutschland Klassik ended on July 5, 2014 with the award ceremony in the Nikolaisaal Potsdam. For three days, around 200 participants explored the Potsdam metropolitan region in their historic vehicles.
ADAC Klassik speaker Prof. Dr. Mario Theissen drew a positive conclusion:
"It was three wonderful days with perfect weather, beautiful old vehicles and a successful organization. A big thank you to all the volunteers and to the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg and its chairman Manfred Voit - they were great hosts. Congratulations to all the winners of the ADAC Deutschland Klassik 2014. I look forward to next year, when we will be guests in the Allgäu with the classic car hike."
Hiking in Potsdam
From July 3 to 5, 2014, the hiking tours took the classic car enthusiasts along the tranquil lake landscape on the Havel, through beautiful avenues and past historic castles. The start and finish was the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam. The focus was on slowing down, enjoyment and relaxation, allowing participants to enjoy and discover the landscape with all their senses, both culturally and culinary.
Once again this year, hundreds of spectators gathered at the start and finish of the Concours d'Elégance and lined the streets to greet the rolling museum and wave to the participants.
Entertainment ...
As always, a "WP" at the classic car hike was not a special stage, but a break from hiking. At these stops, the participants had to solve entertaining tasks and tricky questions about the region or automotive history. True to the motto "Enjoyment takes time", culinary and cultural highlights were not neglected either. The correct answers and best completed tasks were used to determine the day's winners and the overall winner. This year, the overall winner was Bernhard and Frank Jühe, who took part with a Ford Model A Roadster.

In addition, a jury of experts selected the winners of the Concours d'Elégance, for which the classic cars presented themselves in front of Oranienburg Palace. In addition to design and appearance, criteria such as rarity, originality and state of preservation were also assessed. The winners received a valuable watch from Union Glashütte. In addition, the top three in each class received a trophy.

- Class 1: Franz and Sigi Peters and their Bentley 3 ½ Litre Saloon from 1934
- Class 2: Dieter and Dr. Jörg Schäfer and their Mercedes-Benz 220 SE Coupé from 1959
- Class 3: Andreas Färber and Astrid Hausmann and their Mercedes-Benz 250 (W 108) from 1967
Again in 2015
The next (sixth) edition of the ADAC Deutschland Klassik will take place in the Allgäu region from June 25 to 28, 2015. The start and finish will be in Sonthofen in the Allgäu. The invitation to tender for the event will be available from the end of the year.
