For 20 years, fans of classic cars and young classics can no longer imagine life without this event: from Friday to Sunday, February 4 to 6, 2022, the Bremen Classic Motorshow will be celebrating its big anniversary at Messe Bremen.
Preparations for the anniversary are already underway. The event team is currently working on special shows, an international classic car trade and the traditional parts market. "We are confident that we will be able to start again despite coronavirus and celebrate our 20th anniversary together with our visitors," says Frank Ruge, Project Manager of the Bremen Classic Motorshow.
In February 2021, the classic car show had to be canceled with a heavy heart due to the pandemic. Instead, the event team put together a five-hour online event within a very short space of time - a unique event of its kind in Germany. "The feedback was overwhelming. We received a lot of praise from the classic car scene. We were naturally very pleased about that," says project manager Ruge.
"But it is also a fact that the Bremen Classic Motorshow thrives on personal interaction on site and on seeing and touching. This is only possible with a presence event." Next year it will be time again - for the 20th time.
Proven characteristics
The Bremen Classic Motorshow has been the first major classic car trade fair at the beginning of the year since 2003. Every year, collectors and mechanics, beginners and enthusiasts, dealers and restorers, clubs and friends come together over three days in the halls of Messe Bremen to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere and to have the odd expert discussion.
In 2020, the classic car fair set a new record: the organizers counted 45,582 visitors. The 738 exhibitors from 12 nations provided a wide range of products and services. In 2021, the classic car fair had to be canceled as an in-person event for the first time in its long history due to coronavirus. Instead, it was moved to the internet as an online event with a five-hour live stream.
