The International Concours d'Elégance Automobile Classic Gala Schwetzingen is a classic car event that has established itself beyond the country's borders as one of the leading exhibition events for classic automobiles of the highest quality.
The past Concours d'Elegances in the circular palace gardens of Schwetzingen were, as the recognized specialist media wrote, comparable with the most exclusive presentations of classic automobiles in the world.
What almost only Schwetzingen and its beautiful park can offer, however, is the truly extensive display of the classics, so that each one can really be admired from all sides.
So you can certainly look forward to the 15th edition, which will present 180 of the world's finest automobiles built between 1890 and 1990 from August 30 to September 1, 2019.
Interesting special topics
Of course, Schwetzingen will once again have some special themes up its sleeve in 2019.
For example, 100 years of Bentley will of course be celebrated, but there will also be a highly interesting special show with all the glass cars ever built.
70 years of the VW Beetle Cabriolet are celebrated with one model from each of the decades of construction. The 60th anniversary of the Chevrolet Corvair will also be celebrated, as will that of the "Heckflosse".
The international concours for the small car class is also something very special every year: Isetta, Heinkel and Messerschmitt send their regards.
International
Cars and visitors come not only from Germany, but also from abroad. The Swiss in particular like to travel the manageable distance to Schwetzingen to show off their cars or get an idea of the others.
August 30, 2019 is the "preview day", the weekend is then open to the general public. And because the park is so spacious, you won't be standing on each other's feet.
