From Thursday, October 1, Peugeot will be showing 13 new short films on its social media channels. Among other things, they portray Peugeot's best-known models and great successes in motorsport. The occasion is the 210th anniversary of the lion brand on September 26, 2020, making Peugeot the oldest active car manufacturer in the world.

1 Peugeot 205: bestseller and motorsport legend
The Peugeot 205 celebrated its world premiere in 1983 and went on to become a huge success. By 1998, Peugeot had produced a total of 5,278,050 vehicles of this model. Its modern design, a convertible and a sporty GTi version as well as Roland Garros special models ensured its great popularity. The Peugeot 205 also celebrated numerous triumphs in motorsport - including 16 victories in the World Rally Championship and two victories in the Dakar Rally.
2nd triple victory at Le Mans in 1993
Peugeot entered three Peugeot 905s in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1993. It was the last participation for the lion brand, which subsequently switched to Formula 1. Peugeot was to deliver a memorable farewell: The three Peugeot 905s finished first, second and third.
3. the rallies: Peugeot dominates in sand, mud and dust
The Peugeot 504 Safari Coupé won the Kenyan Safari Rally in 1978. It was the prelude to numerous Peugeot successes in rallying. Peugeot won the constructors' title with the Peugeot 205 T16 in the 1985 World Rally Championship on its very first outing. During its rallying career, Peugeot won a total of 48 races, demonstrating the quality of its models on a wide variety of terrains.

Founded in 1810, Peugeot has developed into a leading global mobility provider. Today, in 2020, people in 160 countries and 110 work areas work for the lion brand. Thanks to its great commitment, Peugeot is the first car manufacturer to have three "Car of the Year" winners in its product range at the same time.
5th Peugeot e-Legend Concept: future meets past
At the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Peugeot presented a study that caused quite a stir: the Peugeot e-Legend Concept. As a fully electric and fully autonomous vehicle, the concept shows the future of the lion brand. At the same time, the design of the Peugeot e-Legend Concept pays homage to the legendary Peugeot 504 Coupé. A petition was launched just a few days ago with the aim of series production.
6 Pikes Peak: One of the most dangerous and wildest climbs in the world
In 1988 and 1989, the Peugeot 405 T16 won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb twice in a row. After 25 years, Sebastien Loeb took victory in 2013 with his Peugeot 208 T16. With their best time of 8:13.878 minutes, car and driver broke the record and set new standards for the race.
7. the charlatans at the Indy 500
This unflattering name was given to three young men who became the inventors of the modern racing car in the 1910s. Georges Boillot, Jules Goux and Paolo Zuccarelli were drivers and mechanics at Peugeot. They defied the mentality of Peugeot's "official" engineers and created the L76. In 1913, Jules Goux drove the Peugeot L76 to the Indianapolis 500. He was the first European to win this prestigious race, beating the Americans.
8. the Peugeot 404: the elegant icon
The Peugeot 404 was developed 60 years ago by the Italian design studio and coachbuilder Pininfarina and quickly became an icon. Elegant, modern and popular, it embodied the new generation of French saloons. It was produced in Super Luxe, estate, coupé and convertible versions and sold almost three million units worldwide between 1960 and 1988.
9th Armand Peugeot: Pioneer of automotive history
Armand Peugeot (1849 -1915) always believed in the future of the automobile, often against all odds. Thanks to his visionary ideas and perseverance, Peugeot has made a name for himself all over the world to this day.
10. type 1, 2 and 3: the first Peugeot models
Peugeot presented the prototype of a steam-powered tricycle at the Paris World Exhibition in 1889. It was the Type 1, the first car model ever built and sold by Armand Peugeot. Armand Peugeot was soon convinced that gasoline was the future of the automobile. He created the Type 2 and Type 3, which were the first of their kind and 64 were produced.
11 The Peugeot Eclipse 401 was a world first
In 1932, Georges Paulin dreamed of feeling the wind in his hair without having to worry about the inadequate tops of convertibles. He invented the electrically retractable hardtop. Peugeot bought the patent and tested it on the 301, 401 and 601 models. The worldwide success of the Peugeot 206 CC speaks for itself.
12th "Car of The Year" six times
In 1969, 1988, 2002, 2014, 2017 and 2020, Peugeot won the most prestigious car award in the world: the Peugeot 504, 405, 307, 308, 3008 and 208 models were crowned "Car of The Year". This made Peugeot the first and only car manufacturer to have the label in its product portfolio three times at the same time.
13th Dakar Rally: three victories in a row
The lion brand won the world's most important endurance and desert rally in 2016 with the Peugeot DKR 2008, 2017 with the Peugeot 3008 DKR and 2018 with the Peugeot 3008 DKR Maxi: the Dakar Rally. In 2017, the French car manufacturer even took the first three places in the overall standings.
