Who would have thought that the classic car meeting organized by Calag, which was once founded as Carrosserie Langenthal in 1888, in 2013 on the occasion of its 125th anniversary would one day enjoy such a high profile.
The meeting was originally planned as a one-off event, but the positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors prompted the organizing committee to continue it. Today, the Langenthal Old and Youngtimer Meeting attracts several hundred vehicle owners from all over Switzerland and even beyond the country's borders for every make and model.
Anniversary - the 10th classic car meeting
On Sunday, June 9, 2023, the event will celebrate its first anniversary. For the 10th meeting, the OC is planning a special exhibition with its own superstructures from the 30/40s. Pictures, plans and utensils from this era will also be vividly presented to visitors in the hall. The entrance (Chasseralstrasse 7, Langenthal) is open from 9.30 a.m. for all old and youngtimers built up to 1999.
From unique two-wheelers to veteran buses and trucks, everyone is welcome and can exhibit without registration on the Calag site in Langenthal. As in previous years, admission is free for exhibitors and visitors.
With paint partner ...
Calag's paint partner André Koch AG will also be there this year to provide visitors with help and advice. They will be using a coating thickness gauge to measure whether and where a classic car has been repainted and the thickness of the coating. The device also detects how much filler has been used in a restoration. Classic car specialist Walter Prete will be happy to advise interested parties and give tips on what should be considered when repainting.
... and a barn find
In addition to perfectly restored vehicles, this meeting will also feature a "forgotten" car that has been waiting for its return to daylight in a barn in Graubünden for over 20 years.
The Meguiar's team will also be there this year. The specialists for car care and surface cleaning will be demonstrating what you can get out of classic cars with the right care products.
With catering ...
Food and drink will of course also be provided. Visitors can look forward to a delicious barbecue and Feldschlösschen's vintage beer car will once again be an eye-catcher. In and around the Calag halls there will be several places to eat and sit from where you can enjoy watching the hustle and bustle.

In the hall, Calag will also be showcasing its wide range of services in the areas of vehicle construction, cabin construction, bodywork, service and repair, painting and lettering, as well as its various apprenticeships. A stroll through the lettering department is also worthwhile, where visitors can find out about newly created lettering and fillets as well as transparent self-repairing protective films from Calag Beschriftung. The famous little Calag stickers, which many visitors still like to stick on their windshields, will soon be freshly printed. The Calag team is already looking forward to welcoming many familiar faces and vehicles to the meeting.
