Triumph GT6 "Little E-Type"
€
The Mk3 we are offering is a left-hand drive, was first delivered to the USA in 1972, and was completely rebuilt by an enthusiast in Austria in 2011/12. This means that the body was separated from the frame, sandblasted (frame-off), painted, the technology such as the engine, gearbox and axles were completely overhauled, the wiring harness was renewed and the interior was refurbished. As can be seen in the pictures - especially of the underbody - the work was carried out to a very good standard - with the exception of the paintwork, which now shows some flaws. However, there is no corrosion or filler to be found, and the quality of the paintwork is ultimately always a question of personal taste.
The coupe was individually registered as a historic vehicle in Austria in October 2012 and has been driven approx. 10,000 km since then. Still in very good condition, the rare GT6 offers a lot of driving pleasure, the 6-cylinder is a real feast for the ears, the 4-speed gearbox with overdrive in 3rd and 4th gear, shifts well and without noise, clutch, brakes, everything tip-TOP. The agility of the car is enormous and the beguiling lines of the small coupe are indeed very reminiscent of the legendary E-Type from Jaguar.
The Triumph is now looking for a new owner who appreciates and cares for it and will have a lot of fun with this beautiful GT.
