Description
The 356 Convertible D is a particularly sought-after and often underestimated model in the 356 family: it is considered the more elegant successor to the Speedster and at the same time the direct predecessor of the 356 B Roadster. With only 1331 examples produced, it is significantly rarer than the Speedster - a real collector's item that is very difficult to find today. This special vehicle was manufactured by Karosseriewerke Drauz in Heilbronn and delivered to its first owner in March 1959 via the renowned Porsche dealer Hoffman in New York - as documented by the original delivery card. A Porsche certificate is of course also available. In 2012, this 356 was discovered by an experienced Porsche 356 restorer in California and imported to Switzerland. Over the following two years, the car underwent a comprehensive and meticulous restoration that returned it to its original glory. Today, this vehicle presents itself in first-class condition - a unique opportunity for lovers of rare classics!
