Sometimes it's not the flashy classics that cast a spell over you - but those with a quiet presence, honest substance and a touching story. This Ford Granada Turnier 2.3 V6 from 1976, painted in the warmly shimmering Helios Gold Metallic, is just such a car: authentic, well-maintained, almost untouched - and yet full of life.
It was once delivered to a master painter in Austria, who initially used it as a company vehicle and later took it into his private ownership. The handling of the vehicle was always characterized by restraint and care - which is reflected today in its exceptionally good state of preservation. The speedometer stands at just under 24,000 kilometers, a rarity for a vehicle over four decades old.
Visually and technically, the Granada is largely in its original condition. Only where it made sense for reasons of safety and functionality were discreet improvements made: shock absorbers, carburetors, hoses and some technical components were renewed - with sensitivity and respect for the substance.
In 2021, the Granada came to Germany into the hands of a collector who treated the car with just as much care. Since then, the vehicle has not only been preserved, but also documented: An overview of all technical work is available as well as the original Austrian vehicle documents, an expert report from 2008 and the service booklet with entries from the early years.
Particularly impressive is the combination of the 2.3-liter V6 engine with its strong character and the generous amount of space in the Tourer model - a family estate with style and soul that combines comfort and classic elegance in a timeless way.
