In 1965, Rolls-Royce presented the Silver Shadow, paving the way into the modern era. A self-supporting body, hydraulic level control, four-wheel disc brakes and electric assistants throughout the car were "state of the art" at the time. With over 30,000 vehicles sold, this model series was the luxury car manufacturer's biggest success to date in terms of volume.
