Packard Eight - American Glory
The Packard is one of the most famous classic cars in the United States. The brand would have been 125 years old in 2024. Packard built prestige cars that offered their occupants a high level of driving comfort. The Standard Eight Type 902 was a good example of this. The author was able to test drive the car in the early seventies.
There would probably be little more to say today about just over a hundred Packard models with a special design if they had not been designed by Howard Darrin. Darrin is considered one of the most influential designers in the USA. His creations were driven by the most famous actors, his shapes shaped entire vehicle brands.
