The Lagonda 3 Litre was produced between 1953 and 1958, following on from the 2 1/2 Litre, which had been produced from 1947. Similar in character to its predecessor, the larger 3 Litre impressed above all with its more fashionable design and more powerful, larger engine. High prices and insufficient demand meant the end of the last genuine Lagonda. This article portrays a Lagonda 3 Litre Drophead Coupé and describes the history of the model, supplemented by historical illustrations and three sales brochures.
