At the end of the 1960s, Alpine patron Jean Rédélé realized that his Berlinette A 110 could no longer meet the increased comfort and performance requirements of demanding sports car buyers for all time. Thus the Alpine-Renault A 310 was born, which was built around 11,600 times between 1971 and 1985 and was initially equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and, from 1976, with a 2.7-liter six-cylinder engine and was certainly a match for the sports car competition of the time. This vehicle report traces the history of the A 310 and shows the car in contemporary and many rare historical illustrations, as well as in two sales brochures from the period.

In 1979, the magazine 'hobby' carried out a long-distance drive with three contemporary sports cars - Alpine-Renault A 310, Porsche 924 Turbo and Datsun 280 ZX. From Stuttgart to Florence and back. The focus was not on a sober comparison test, but on pure experience and emotion. This report summarizes the driving report at the time and shows how people thought about sports cars with 140 to 170 hp back then. Archive pictures show the sports cars in their heyday.

Renault Alpine V6 GT and A 610 - Leaving at the peak of performance

In 1985, the Renault-Alpine V6 GT replaced the A310, which had been built for 14 years. In 1991, Régie Renault added the final performance level, the A 610, which was also able to hold its own in the guild of the fastest sports cars at an affordable price. This report looks back on the development of the model and shows the A 610 and the V6 GT in many contemporary and historical pictures, supplemented by sales documents, press material and a price list (coming soon).
