Summary
In almost five hours, RM Sotheby's auctioned 93 lots during Arizona Car Week, including three two/three-wheelers, a few memorabilia and 87 cars. Together, the vehicles realized almost USD 60 million. 91% of the vehicles were sold, some of which, including a Ferrari Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and a Hispano-Suiza, sold well above expectations. However, with 61% no-reserve lots, some vehicles also found a new owner for significantly less than expected. This auction review analyzes the results, shows the atmosphere on site and the vehicles in many pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
Car after car rolled onto the stage in front of a packed audience, was turned on a turntable and then left the room again, sold or not sold, but mostly sold. 91% of the vehicles at the RM Sotheby's auction in Arizona came into new hands, only nine of the 87 cars remained, the three motorcycles (including a Vespa with sidecar) were successfully sold. With total sales of around USD 60 million, the Arizona auction was very successful. Most of the bidders did not need to be asked twice, with an average of 91% of the median estimate. 61% of the vehicles went under the hammer without a reserve price, which also guarantees a good sales rate.
